GIPF goes abroad
The first ranking tournament outside the Belgian borders took place
during the 8th edition of the "SpellenSpektakel" in Eindhoven, The
Netherlands. In total 16 players signed up for the event, but, due
to the resignation of 2 Dutchmen after 2 rounds, only 12 Belgians
and 2 remaining "Dutchers" battled to become the KING of Eindhoven.
Aksel the Meester, also called the Axe from Ghent, appeared to be
the strongest. With 6 wins in a row he clearly overpowered all the
others.
