August 19, 2004 World Championships 2004 coming up Good news for the beasts amongst you: soon you'll all have the opportunity to vie with each other. Competitions on the highest level are coming up in October: World Championships of 4 of the 5 Project GIPF games. First ZÈRTZ and YINSH during Spiel 04, the yearly games feast in Essen, Germany, and one week later we continue the brain burning action with GIPF and DVONN during Games Spectacular in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. YINSH finalist for the International Gamers Awards Yinsh has been named as a finalist for the International Gamers Awards! This is truly outstanding recognition, because so were ZÈRTZ and DVONN. The games of Project GIPF stand firm amongst the themed games! I quote: "The International Gamers Awards were created to recognize outstanding games and designers, as well as the companies that publish them. The awards are international in scope, with committee members representing countries throughout the world. The goal is to give greater exposure for these wonderful games to more and more people and help spread the word of the *wonderful world of gaming* on a global scale."
