GIPFER beats ZÈRTZERS - Part
2 !!!
The ZÈRTZ tournament - this year the Saturday evening event
- was dominated by the same player as last time, thus the same person
who proclaimed to be a Gipfer, not a Zèrtzer! For the second
time in a row Kurt Van den Branden won the ZÈRTZ tournament
without losing a single game, meaning that he is the only player
who remains unbeaten in one of the Project GIPF games after 2 Project
GIPF weekends. If Kurt would succeed in winning again a *GIPF* tournament
in the near future, I think he'll have little other choice than
to say: I'm not really a Gipfer, rather a Zèrtzer!
The second place
was for Michael Reitz. He was without any doubt the best Zértz-player
of the lot, but he got in serious trouble against Kurt because of
a miscalculation. He lost the game - and the title at the same time.
Jaques Robrecht (another favourite) and Werner Dupont shared the
3rd place with 4 points. Two other favourites, Jeroen Weyn and Christof
Nuyttens, scored 3 wins, and so did Patrick Van de Perre, Jan C.
de Graaf, Jix Demerco and Boris Ammerlaan.
