Through that move white establishes an attack on both black GIPF-pieces:
the threat of the white pieces on e3, e4 and e5 cannot be broken,
neither can Black move Ge2 or Ge7 to a safe position. So, no matter
what Black does, White will always be able to play 2.h6-d5 and capture
the 2 black GIPF-pieces.
